A Georgia grandmother is facing charges after police say she left two children in a hot car.
According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, the incident took place at an Atlanta Whole Foods early Monday.

A concerned shopper spotted the children in the car and called police. Police cited the grandmother, Denise Wood, and charged her with reckless conduct.
Police said the children, ages 5 and 3, were in the car with the windows down and the doors unlocked. There was a car seat in the vehicle that was not properly secured, and Wood reportedly told police that she left it unattached so the child could get out if she was not back to the car in time.
Officers said the little boy in the car said he felt hot, so they put him in an air-conditioned patrol car.
According to police reports, the grandmother said she had been running an errand in the store for a few minutes and didn’t seem to understand the possible consequences of her actions.
Police said the children have been checked out and are doing fine.
