Two teens killed in a wreck with a tractor-trailer were broadcasting on Facebook Live when the crash happened.

According to WNEP, 18-year-old Brooke Hughes and 19-year-old Chaniya Morrison-Toomey were killed when a tractor-trailer hit the back of their car as they drove in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday.

The Times-Tribune reports the teens were broadcasting on Facebook Live at the time of the crash.

"Are you going live?" Chaniya, in the passenger seat, asked Brooke as she held up her phone. According to the Times-Tribune, light flooded the inside of the car and the sound of tires screeching could be heard before the video went black.

The video was viewed more than 7,000 times before Facebook took it down, according to WNEP.

According to state troopers, the car was traveling slowly on the highway when the crash happened. Officials believe that was because the car had a spare, or donut, tire on it.

Investigators are using the video posted to Facebook to figure out what happened to cause the crash and understand why the teens were traveling so slowly down the interstate.
