Hurry, check the calendar. Today is 7/11 day and you know what that means ... Free Slurpees!
If you get to your local 7-Eleven, and it's one of the participating shops, you can get a free small Slurpee drink from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
But that's not all for Slurpee lovers. This is a special week. The company is celebrating the frozen concoction's 50th birthday.
Starting Tuesday, through July 18, customers who buy seven Slurpees using the 7-Eleven mobile app will get credits for 11 free drinks. Those coupons must be redeemed by the end of August.
The company estimates it will give away 9 million small drinks today while supplies last.
And keep your eye out for the new flavor, Birthday Cake Slurpee that's being released for the drink's golden birthday, as well as other Slurpee-inspired products like doughnuts, Chapstick and clothing.
