According to Carranza, the suspects wore button-down shirts and drove luxury cars to scout celebrity neighborhoods. When they picked a home, they wore hoodies and had one person bang on the door, she said. When no one answered, others would break in and ransack the master bedroom for valuables, leaving before the alarm companies could respond.

“Suspects refer to this practice as flocking. They flock like birds to areas where the rich and famous resided,” Carranza said. “Once a potential target home was selected, a larger vehicle would be utilized to give the suspects the opportunity to change into more comfortable clothing and hoodies to avoid being recognized and cart away the stolen goods,” Carranza said.

Police recovered stolen items from the car Williams, Hall and Daniel were stopped in and issued a search warrant for their homes. Carranza said police found $50,000 in cash, watches, jewelry, designer bags and other valuables.
