A Florida man is in critical condition after losing his arm when he was run over by a boat while diving with a group Thanksgiving Day.
Carter Viss, 25, was injured when a boat decelerated after seeing a dive flag. Florida Fish and Wildlife officials said Daniel Stanton, 30, was operating the boat.
A good Samaritan recovered Viss’ severed arm and gave it to the U.S. Coast Guard. It was unable to be reattached.
His mother, Leila Viss, said her son suffered “severe damage to all his limbs."
