Three fishermen landed their catch "of a lifetime" on a Florida beach last week: a 13-foot hammerhead shark, UPI reports.

According to UPI, the trio were fishing on the shore of Sanibel Island when the shark grabbed the stingray they were using for bait.

It took them about 30 minutes to reel in the monster before they were able to take photo and video evidence and set it free, one of the men, Maison Rosanti, said.

But they're holding out hope that they may encounter the hammerhead again.

"It's an amazing feeling to be able to actually bring something like that in ... and then to be able set it free and catch it again when it's four or five feet longer," Rosanti told WINK News.

They're not the first to snag a big shark in the Sunshine State. Two men in Tampa reeled in a 12-foot bull shark, while a pair of boaters did battle with a 14- to 15-footer off Dearfield Beach in the same year.
