Federal authorities are searching for a man and a woman allegedly involved in jewel heists across several Southern states.
The FBI says their latest heist took place Monday. The white female suspect, who appears to be in her late 20s or early 30s, entered a jewelry store in Mebane, North Carolina, with a handgun. She pointed the gun at two employees, zip-tied them in a back room and made off with items from the store's display case.
The FBI says the black male suspect in his late 30s or early 40s is also seen in surveillance tapes at several of the robberies.
The heists have taken place in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and North Carolina over the last several months.
Authorities say the first happened April 28 in Dawsonville, Georgia. In September, the FBI released photos of the female suspect after a robbery in Panama City Beach, Florida. Again, at gunpoint, the female zip-tied two store employees and then made off with several items.
The suspects have been seen in multiple cars and are considered to be armed and dangerous.
