FBI searches for 'Spelling Bee Bandit'
The FBI is on the hunt for a bank robber whose poor spelling has earned him the nickname the "Spelling Bee Bandit."
Police released photos of the man, who they say has robbed banks in Arlington, Reading, Burlington and Peabody, Massachusetts.
"In every case, the (man) puts on sunglasses after entering the bank, writes 'Robery' on the back of a withdrawal slip and passes the demand note to the teller," according to the FBI.
The man hasn't shown or referenced having a weapon, but officials said he is getting more threatening.
"It's not so much the amount of the loss," Daniel Romanzo, an FBI special agent, told Salem News. "We're more concerned with the fact that this individual has become more aggressive with the tellers."
