Explosive materials were found on a school bus in a Virginia school district, authorities said.
But it wasn't left by someone trying to hurt the kids intentionally.
The material left behind after a CIA training session for a K-9 unit used a Loudoun County, Virginia school while students were on spring break, WJLA reported.
The explosive training material was in the engine area and blended in with the hoses, a school district spokesman said.
The CIA said the training material did not pose a danger to students, who rode the bus on Monday and Tuesday before it was found, WJLA reported.
School district officials said they work with law enforcement and let them use schools for training in case of an active shooter or emergency situation.
Parents and staff were told about the discovery via email on Wednesday. Students who rode the bus were told individually.
