Donald Trump has weighed in on Steve Harvey's misstep at last night's "Miss Universe" pageant, where Harvey announced the wrong contestant as the winner.

The moment has since gone viral. Trump, who sold the pageant earlier this year, shared his thoughts on the pageant's rough ending on his Facebook page.

Very sad what happened last night at the Miss Universe Pageant. I sold it 6 months ago for a record price. This would never have happened!

“Very sad what happened last night at the Miss Universe Pageant,” Trump wrote in the post. “I sold it 6 months ago for a record price. This would never have happened!”

Harvey's gaffe led the world to believe for a few moments that Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, had won the pageant. Soon, the error was corrected, and the ceremonial flowers and tiara given to Gutierrez were taken away and presented to Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.

It was a moment made for social media. Harvey apologized during the broadcast, and later took to Twitter to reiterate his apologies to the pageant's contestants and viewers.
