A tiny dog's story could have had a devastating ending, but thanks to a transit worker, it is a happy one.
Last week, a New York City transit worker rescued a small dog from the dangerous tracks that run under the city, PIX11 reported.
At the same time, a family who was missing their beloved pet had posted fliers around the city looking for Byby, a poodle mix. Byby had last been seen the night of Feb. 9.
Luckily a transit worker noticed the dog living in a Bronx subway tunnel. WABC reported Charles Gaston scooped her up, despite clumped fur and being covered in dirt, took her to the vet and groomer, and eventually made an Instagram account for the pup he named Delta.
Delta, PIX11 reported, turned out to be Byby, and on Tuesday, the family was reunited with their missing pup.
