The woman apparently had been trying to call 911 while driving, but she couldn't speak. Clinkscales realized that she was choking and performed the Heimlich maneuver to clear her airway. She passed out moments later and the officer caught her before she hit the ground.

In a unique twist, the unnamed woman Clinkscales saved was the daughter of one of his fellow officers.
