When Hector Galeano found out a car from his lot was stopped by deputies -- with guns drawn -- on a test drive, he was stunned.

They were the married couple test driving the Nissan in Burien around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

KIRO 7 was there as police arrived on the scene and asked the car salesman -- who had been riding with the couple -- what happened.

Galeano said it was all a misunderstanding. "It's just a matter of confusion," he said. "And, it's an accident."

He said last year the car was owned by a bank, and the bank repossessed the Nissan after it had been stolen.

The car was then bought legally by Legend Auto Sales at an auction.

The problem is -- the stolen vehicle report never got cleared.

"Just a paper error. So, hopefully it doesn't happen again," said Galeano.

Galeano said he kept telling deputies it was a test drive and that this was a dealer vehicle -- but they didn't listen. He said to check the front of the car, which would have the logo on it.

Deputies did that, and then quickly apologized to everybody and un-handcuffed them.

After the ordeal, Galeano took the older female to the hospital, where she broke down crying from trauma.
