Steven and Stephanie Sloan were at the home of Jeremy and Jamie Ownbey. The couples have been good friends and even shared vacations.
KUSA reports three of the four, Steven, Jeremy, and Jamie have been involved in "swinging" together.
The Denver Post reports during the visit something happened to cause the Ownbeys to ask the Sloan's to get out. 9News says the disagreement was over who would be involved in the adult activities.
The talking broke down into an argument and soon thereafter, a brawl.
The Denver Post says one of the women punched the other, then the husbands got involved. Things deteriorated even further when Jeremy pulled a gun.
No shots were fired and none of the injuries were serious but the Aurora; Colorado police department admitted "there was lots of drinking involved."
Cops have said they intend to investigate the fight, and the lifestyle allegations. "We have to dig deeper. We have to ask the tough questions," a release said.
It was also revealed the Ownbeys may face child neglect charges because they left young children home alone that night.
