An intense hail storm struck Colorado Springs Thursday night, leaving the area covered with so much hail that it looked like snow.
The hail, some of which measured as large as tennis balls, also shattered windows in homes and cars, including damaging 27 police cars, according to The Denver Post.
A resident captured video of people shoveling the hail off the road and clearing a path around cars.
Skylights at a high school were also damaged, sending debris inside the school.
Hail storms are not that unusual in Colorado, with the state ranking second for most hail loss insurance claims, according to CNN.
