Coast Guard searching for woman who fell from cruise ship

A North Texas woman on the Carnival Liberty cruise ship is missing, and officials believe she fell overboard.
The Coast Guard is searching an area in the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 200 miles southeast of Galveston, according to The Associated Press.
Carnival staff say the incident happened early Friday morning. Surveillance video captured a woman, believed to be passenger Samantha Broberg, 33, falling overboard.

A thorough search of the ship was conducted, and it was determined that Broberg was the only missing passenger.

The Carnival Liberty set sail from Galveston Thursday for a four-day cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.

The cruise lines released a statement about the missing passenger.
