City ‘plagued’ by tailgate thefts, police say

Police are befuddled by a person who is stealing tailgates off trucks throughout the city.

"The entire City has been plagued by unknown person(s) stealing tailgates from trucks," Albany police said in a release. "Even the City of Albany has been a victim of these crimes."

Video shows a man removing a tailgate from a city truck around 4:15 a.m. Friday.
