A local church is so concerned about a string of violent robberies in their community, they’re putting up $5,000 to help catch the criminals.

“Listen. The 'don't snitch rule' is not alive in our church. We gonna snitch. You do something wrong, you're going to jail. Read my lips, we are going to call the police,” said Pastor Kenneth Adkins.

It’s a message Brunswick pastor Kenneth Adkins wants to be heard loud and clear, “We want to send a message that we want our neighborhood safe and our church safe,” said Adkins.

Especially after a Winn Dixie and Sonic were robbed by a group of men, just right down the street from his church, “We believe if Winn Dixie was robbed right up the street, than our church and our businesses are next,” Adkins said.

The Glynn County Police Department says a group of men, including both Kaleb Lawrence Gilmore, 20, andHampton Merchant Baker, 23, walked into the Winn Dixie with masks on and guns in their hands. They robbed the store twice onJan. 18th and Feb. 13th. Police say this time they ran across the street to this apartment complex, "It's not going to be tolerated in our neck of the woods," Adkins said.

That’s why Adkins says they are offering a $5,000 reward to see the two men behind bars, “Regardless of race, color or gender it's important to get bad people off,” Adkins said.

Police tell Action News they already arrested Dakota Havle, 19 and Marquis Daniels, 21, from Brunswick, for their involvement with the string of robberies.
