The expression "the greatest thing since sliced bread" is used to describe something exceptional.
Well, soon, people might be saying "the greatest thing since sliced chocolate" to keep up with the times, and because chocolate sliced like cheese is finally a thing.
What took so long to come up with the idea wasn't immediately known at the time this report was written, but at least it's for real now, thanks to a Japanese company named Bourbon (just when you thought it couldn't get any better.)
The ganache chocolate slices are just like Kraft cheese singles: square, individually packaged pieces that can be used on sandwiches, eaten as a snack or as a topping. Each is 2mm thick.
Packages come in five slices and an order of 60 slices (12 bags) can be purchased for $26.78, or 3,240 Japanese yen.
The new product is expected to win over some Nutella and sliced cheese lovers.
Social media was in a frenzy upon hearing the news.
