Dawn Policastro and Allison Dinkelacker aren’t just identical twins, they’re inseparable. The married sisters talk daily and live just three blocks from each other.
So when Allison was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer during her pregnancy in 2009, Dawn said “it was simply devastating.”
Allison was forced so start immediate chemo, but had a healthy baby boy through a C-section. Now cancer free, Dinkelacker wanted to have another child. Patch.com writes, "because her cancer was brought on by hormones, she knew she could never get pregnant again."
That’s when Dawn stepped in.
"It doesn't matter" she told the OBGYN, "because I am going to carry their child." Allison Rose Photography captured the journey for the twins with stunning pictures.
And she did just that. Hudson William Dinkelacker was born August 5th, both mother, sister, and baby are doing just fine.
“How can we begin to thank you for the tremendous generosity and sacrifice you have so willingly bestowed these last few months?” Allison wrote on her Facebook page. “You have given us not just the fulfillment of a wish we’ve had for the last six years, but a whole new life, and a family of four we thought we’d never have.”
