California Vietnam memorial vandalized Memorial Day weekend
Vandals defaced a California Vietnam memorial before Memorial Day weekend.
The memorial honored service members listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War, according to KCAL.
"It's a desecration. I mean it's very simple," George Francisco, who serves on the Venice Chamber of Commerce and runs a nonprofit called Veterans Foundation Incorporated, told KCAL. "There's no sort of other way around it. It isn't graffiti."
Neighbors say the memorial was tagged a few days ago. The graffiti matches others tags in the area.
