This seems hard to believe, but a 9-year-old and a 12-year-old from a Brooklyn elementary school are accused of poisoning a teacher.

The teacher is OK, though there are different versions of what might have happened after she started feeling sick.

WABC reported another student told his or her parents that the two had poisoned the teacher, those parents contacted the school, which then contacted police.

But according to WNBC it was the 51-year-old teacher who went to police when she started feeling ill. The outlet says she teaches the students in fourth grade.

Though again, some discrepancies — according the New York Post, she's a fifth-grade teacher. Considering the students are a few years apart, it's unclear why they might have been in the same class.

The children have been charged with reckless endangerment, attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The weapon in this case is rat poison pellets.

WPIX reported the pellets were found in one of the students' backpacks.

Police are continuing to investigate and are looking for a motive.
