A boy fishing with adults in Myrtle Beach caught a 5-foot shark near the beach Friday afternoon, a couple from Stanly County said while vacationing there for Memorial Day weekend.
They were on the pier at Apache Family Campground when they spotted the shark at the end of the line.
About 30 onlookers watched for about 15 minutes as the shark tried to break loose from the line.
Employees at pier released the shark from the line back into the ocean.
