U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 92 pounds of heroin Wednesday that was found in a car driven by an 81-year-old woman.
As a line of cars awaited inspection at the Tecate point of entry, the K-9 team alerted officers to the driver's side of a vehicle, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release. Upon further inspection, officers say they extracted 34 packages of heroin from the door's rocker panels.
