A boat carrying about 12 immigrants landed on the shore near a Florida golf course early Sunday morning, according to Palm Beach Police.
The passengers fled from police after landing near the Palm Beach Par 3 golf course around 1:44 a.m., according to officials.
The passengers on the 25-foot boat were from the Bahamas and Haiti, according to police.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Coast Guard carried out a search of the area to find the passengers, according to police. Ten people were apprehended — two from the Bahamas and eight from Haiti — and taken into custody by border patrol.
