A baby took a particular interest in a police officer after he settled a dispute between two neighbors in North Carolina.
According to a Facebook post by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Officer Chomicki responded to a call about a dispute between two men.
Officer Chomicki deescalated the situation and it ended in a handshake. One of the men was holding a baby girl at the time, and she wanted to be held by Officer Chomicki.
The father was stunned, saying the baby never wanted to go to anyone else, even family.
The father asked to take a picture with the officer and held up a peace sign, saying “police equals peace.”
