Author J.K. Rowling sent flowers to funeral of Orlando nightclub shooting victim

Author J.K. Rowling has made no secret her sympathy for the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting - particularly Luis Vielma.

Vielma, 22, worked at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  

Rowling also sent flowers to Vielma. Those in attendance at his funeral shared images of the arrangement.

Her letter with the flowers read:

“To Luis, who died for love, you will never be forgotten.”

Vielma was one of the 49 victims gunned down June 12 at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. When Rowling first learned of Vielma’s death she posted on social media:

“Luis Vielma worked on the Harry Potter ride at Universal. He was 22 years old. I can't stop crying.”
