Before she was found, her parents made a public plea for her safe return.

Family friends put up fliers Wednesday night with Jones-Rhodes' picture after they say she never showed up at graduation, and they haven't heard from her since.

"I have no idea where my daughter is," her mother, Nicole Johnson, said at the time.

Johnson spoke with WSB briefly outside her DeKalb County home Wednesday and begged for her 22-year-old daughter, who goes by AJ, to return home safely.

"It's taken a lot just to stand up here, so I just want to say AJ please, please, please come home," Johnson said.

Jones-Rhodes left her family's home early Monday morning with her cap and gown and was supposed to be heading to her graduation from Clark Atlanta University.

Her family became worried when she never walked across the stage and learned she didn't check in.

When WSB asked, a university representative said Jones-Rhodes' name was not on the official list for commencement, and they have no record of her paying fees for a cap and gown.

"I'm hoping that if someone knows where she is, that they make her aware her parents just want to see her home safely," Johnson said before their daughter was found.

Police say there was no foul play involved in her disappearance.
