The boyfriend being interviewed by police after leaving 21-month-old Lonzie Barton in a car Friday morning, was going into an apartment to use cocaine, according to an affidavit issued by Baker County Sheriff's Office.

The affidavit, signed Friday, issues an arrest warrant for William Ebron, 32, but it is not related to the search for Lonzie. It also revoked Ebron's bail for an arrest last month.

According to the warrant, Ebron was not supposed to be out past 7 p.m. and he was not supposed to have contact with co-defendants from his case.

Police say Ebron was found with Barton's mother in an apartment with drugs.

Police say Lonzie's mother, Lonna Lauramore, 25, was listed as a co-defendant in that drug case, and he was living with her in Jacksonville.

The affidavit says there's also surveillance video from a gas station at 12:33 a.m. Friday showing Ebron there. Chief Tom Hackney said today that Ebron is not being cooperative.

“It's been a little bit like pulling teeth to get some of the information that we want. It shouldn't be that way,” Hackney said.

The affidvait says Ebron was doing laundry, but then went back to the apartment to "use powder cocaine" while leaving the car on with the boy inside.

There are also cases against him for domestic violence.

An injunction filed earlier in early July says Ebron's ex-girlfriend's sister received threatening voicemails from him.

She also says Ebron is "bragging that he is untouchable to the police and the court system." She says he's claiming he can get away with anything he does to her, and other family members.

Chief Hackney confirmed Ebron has had multiple run in's with police, but says they're just hoping he helps them in this investigation.

"If I'm the caregiver of a 21-month-old that had this happen, as he claims it did, I would do everything in my power to be cooperative with law enforcement. Throughout the day that hasn't exactly been the case," Hackney said.

Ebron was charged late Friday night with two counts of child neglect.

WFTV in Orlando reports that the child is still missing, and the search is ongoing. The boy weighs about 20 pounds and has blue eyes and blond hair. Investigators said he was only wearing a diaper.
