It looks like Melania Trump isn't the only one taking her cues from people across the political aisle.

More than a week after Trump addressed the Republican National Convention with a speech that was partially lifted from first lady Michelle Obama's 2008 Democratic National Convention address, Rep. Joyce Beatty gave politicos deja vu.

Beatty appeared on the DNC stage in Philadelphia wearing the same dress Trump wore during her RNC address on July 18.

Speaking with WCMH, Beatty said her husband encouraged her to wear the off-white dress after he bought it for her.

"Now it's blowing up all over the nation that it's the same as Mrs. Trump's, but I don't know," she told the news station.

Trump's dress was designed by Roksanda Ilincic, a Serbian-born, London-based designer, according to Women's Wear Daily. The "Margot" dress retails for $2,190 and quickly sold out after Trump's appearance in Cleveland last week.

"She doesn't have a stylist," a Trump spokesperson told E! News. "She has excellent taste. She simply liked the dress and purchased it."
