Dave Cramer wants everyone to know that he’s not running for office.

He just wanted a sign.

Cramer spent about $30 to create a mock political sign that has gone viral.

The Buckeyes fan had the slogan, “Not Running for Anything I Just Wanted a Sign” printed below his name against a red and black background.

Cramer placed his sign next to a legitimate campaign sign for LaPorte Mayor Blair Milo.

According to Nwi.com, when the mayor found out about the sign, she posted it on her social media accounts and even took a selfie with Cramer.

An image of Cramer’s sign landed on Reddit, and has been picked up by other local and national news outlets.

I JUST WANTED A SIGN: His name won't appear on the ballot today...but a LaPorte County man's "campaign sign" has been seen around the world. Kristin Bien WSBT talks to the local jokester about his tongue-in-cheek message.
