Exit polls released late Tuesday show what public polling has for weeks: The race in Georgia is as tight as ever.

Republican Donald Trump is clinging to a one-point lead over Democrat Hillary Clinton in the exit poll conducted for CBS News. And The Associated Press exit poll shows a divided Georgia electorate split on racial lines.

Nearly three-quarter of white voters cast ballots for Trump, while about nine in 10 of black voters supported Clinton in the AP poll. Young voters overwhelmingly sided with Clinton, while older voters were more evenly split.

The polls also showed an electorate eager for change, with roughly 40 percent of voters in Georgia and across the nation voicing support for someone who can shake up Washington.

Poll results were trickling in Tuesday night in the Peach State.
