Wednesday’s news that Duke University men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski is soon retiring brought immediate reaction throughout the world of social media.

Stadium first reported news of Krzyzewski’s final season with Duke.

The Associated Press also quoted an anonymous source the Duke Hall of Fame coach will coach his final season with the Blue Devils in 2021-22.

Krzyzewski — also known as Coach K — is the all-time winningest men’s Division I coach in college basketball history with 1,170 wins.

Duke University will reportedly appoint assistant head coach Jon Scheyer as new head coach after Krzyzewski retires.

Krzyzewski has won five national titles, been to the Final Four 12 times and turned the Blue Devils into a national power.
