An Arizona woman who suffered 19 miscarriages has given birth to a 14-pound boy.

Cary Patonai and her husband, Tim, of Phoenix, celebrated the child’s arrival last Monday, calling the latest addition to their family a miracle, according to ABC affiliate KNXV.

They named the child Finnley.

The parents have two older kids — Devlen, 10, and Everett, 2 — but were unsuccessful at having anymore children since the birth of their middle son two years ago.

The couple said they grieved two miscarriages over the past year, and endured 17 more before that.

“Two of those miscarriages were sets of twins so it was very difficult,” Cary told KNXV.

Aside from being 14 pounds, Finnley was also nearly 24 inches long, so the clothes his parents bought didn’t exactly fit. The couple told KNXV that after 10 days, the boy was already in size 2 diapers and wearing clothes meant for 6-to-9-month olds.

“He’s gonna be a football player, get him in those pads,” his father said, according to the station.
