Man, woman found shot inside car in northwest Atlanta
Two people shot at an apartment complex early Friday in northwest Atlanta drove to a nearby gas station, police said.
The gunshot victims, a man and a woman, were found inside a car in the parking lot of a gas station on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, just outside I-285, shortly after 6:30 a.m., according to Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones.
Jones said the man was shot in the back, and the bullet exited his chest. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition, and has since been upgraded to stable condition, according to Jones.
She said the woman was shot in the arm, and was taken to Grady in stable condition.
Officers at the scene learned that the shooting happened at the Riverwood Apartments on nearby Bolton Road.
Police have not released the names of the man and woman, and have not said what led to the shooting or if any suspects have been identified.
