South Fulton police are asking for help identifying a man they say used the LetGo app to rob a seller of shoes and cash at gunpoint.

Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta recently announced a $2,000 reward for information in connection with the July 14 armed robbery. According to police, the victim met the man in the 5000 block of Oakley Industrial Boulevard to sell him a pair of shoes after the two connected on the app, which serves as a secondhand marketplace for a variety of items.

The man took the victim’s shoes and $75 cash at gunpoint before fleeing the area, police said in a Facebook post.

Authorities on Friday released the man’s photo, which was pulled from his LetGo profile.

“We do not have any further identifying information regarding the suspect,” South Fulton police spokesman Lt. Jubal Rogers told AJC.com.

Anyone with information on the man’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective N. Moss at 470-240-1279 or dial 911.

Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for the reward, by contacting Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
