A man suspected of multiple robberies using online marketplaces was arrested in Clayton County.

Police believe Deandre Agee is the man behind four separate robberies involving OfferUp and LetGo.

The first incident took place June 14 when the victim, who was selling an iPhone on OfferUp, agreed to meet Agee in the 8000 block of Thomas Road, according to a news release by Clayton County police. Agee robbed the victim at gunpoint and took the phone, police said.

Authorities said the next robbery took place three days later in the 600 block of Morton Court, one street away from the first incident. The victim saw an ad on OfferUp and met Agee to purchase a PlayStation 4 for $200 but was robbed at gunpoint, according to the release.

The next day, police said Agee met someone in the 700 block of Point South Parkway who had responded to a LetGo ad. They intended to purchase a PlayStation 4 from Agee, but he snatched the cash and ran, according to police.

Then on July 1, again in the 700 block of Point South Parkway, someone made a deal through OfferUp to purchase a PlayStation 4, the release said. Agee threatened the victim with a gun and got away with $160, according to police.

Clayton police identified Agee through email records associated with the OfferUp and LetGo accounts and obtained warrants for his arrest. On Sept. 10, police said Agee was interviewed and confessed to all four robberies. They also said he had a Louis Vuitton mask that he wore during the second alleged robbery.

Agee is charged with two counts of armed robbery, robbery by intimidation and theft by deception.
