A 26-year-old man wanted in DeKalb County on sex offenses against a child was arrested by U.S. marshals in Tennessee.

Marshals captured Ariel Banegas Ruiz, a Honduran national, in the western Tennessee city of Jackson after Georgia authorities contacted them. Investigators believe Ruiz went there after crimes in DeKalb involving a 13-year-old, the federal agency said Friday morning.

The Jackson Sun reported Ruiz was located Wednesday. Marshals found him in a mobile home community next to a soccer complex.

According to immigration officials, Ruiz has been deported previously.

Ruiz was taken to the Madison County Jail in Tennessee and awaits extradition to Georgia.
