A Macon child returned home to cheers and well wishes after spending months receiving cancer treatment in Tennessee, 13WMAZ reported.
Jackson Hall, who was diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoma at age 11, began his treatment in June at the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, according to the news outlet.
A GoFundMe was created beforehand by Jackson’s Little League team to raise money for the treatment and other needed expenses.
Besides the money raised, the community also drove by his house to encourage Jackson before he left for treatment, according to 13WMAZ.
Jackson’s parents said they are appreciative of the community’s support, 13WMAZ reported.
“While there’s no way that we can ever say how grateful we are for those of you out there, just know that we love you and we thank you so much.”
“We are just grateful, and we ask for lots of prayers for our special little boy. He is just a godsend, and we’ve been inundated with just love and support from all over the community,” Aimee Hall, Jackson’s mother, told WMAZ.
