A 94-year-old man beaten by two teenagers Friday remains in critical condition at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Paul Smallwood was inside his unit at Crescent Square Apartments on Friday night when he was hit in the head with a rock, Sgt. Dana Pierce of the Cobb County Police told the AJC.

His attackers took personal items and cash, Pierce said.

Smallwood, a World War II veteran, suffered head trauma and several broken bones, his family told Channel 2 Action News.

On Tuesday, Smallwood was still in critical condition at Kennestone, Pierce said.

Police have interviewed two juveniles in connection with the attack, Pierce said, but no charges have been filed.
