The Woodstock Police Department will provide residents with strategies, guidance and plans for surviving an active shooter situation at a seminar set for May.

The C.R.A.S.E (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) seminar is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., May 22, in the auditorium of Woodstock City Church, 150 Ridgewalk Parkway, Woodstock.

The two-hour course was developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center at Texas State University and will be taught by the Woodstock police training staff.

The event is open to the public, with seating on a first-come, first served basis. Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. Information: https://bit.ly/2EJUJoB
