The Woodstock City Council has approved a conditional use permit to allow a “Get a Clue Escape Games” operation in an existing commercial center on Ga. 92.
The applicant, Joseph Lynch, seeks to open in two suites totaling about 3,000 square feet at 9539 Highway 92, according to a staff report to the council. Get a Clue would be a family entertainment business where customers would have one hour to solve puzzles and find clues to exit one room and enter another, staff said.
No one is ever locked in a room, as participants can always exit through the first entry door, staff said. There would be a control room where employees can view the action on video monitors, assist with clues and ensure safety is maintained.
Up to 30 people would occupy the space at a time, including five to seven employees, staff said.
