The Woodstock City Council approved a temporary alcohol license to let a homeowners association serve beer at the annual Woodlands Fall Festival.

The Woodlands Festival, in the Woodlands subdivision, is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. Primo’s Pizza & Italian Kitchen will serve pizza and beer at the event and will be checking the identifications of customers, staff said in a report to the council. About 2,000 people are expected to attend.

The event is free and open to the public, and will offer more than 50 vendors including home bakers, crafters and small business owners, according to the Woodlands Homeowners Association. There also will be food trucks, a raffle and a DJ; and children’s activities including bounce houses, games, a petting zoo and face painting.
