Wood named Henry’s Teacher of the Year

Oct 27, 2014John Wood, art teacher at Luella High School, was named Teacher of the Year for the Henry County School System in a presentation Oct. 23 at the county’s Performing Arts Center.
A veteran teacher of 13 years and owner of a student-focused, community art gallery in McDonough, Wood will now represent the system in the Georgia Teacher of the Year competition.
He received cash and prizes, including funds for the professional development conference of his choice, totaling just over $6,000.
