A Marietta mother got a Mother’s Day surprise from the Georgia Lottery: A $206,502 jackpot in the Fantasy 5 drawing for Sunday.
The numbers on Blakely Wolf’s ticket matched all five winning numbers, lottery officials said.
“My husband called me into the living room this morning and told me,” said Wolf, who has a 9-year-old son. “We were flabbergasted.”
The woman’s husband bought the Quick Pik ticket at the Kroger supermarket at 2960 Shallowford Road NE in Marietta and gave it to her Monday morning, Wolf said. She promptly traveled to the Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta to claim her prize.
“I just never thought it would be possible,” she said. “It’s cool.”
Wolf said she anticipates taking a vacation and paying off bills with the winnings.
Winning numbers from the May 13 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 3-23-26-29-38.
