A woman in north Fulton County jumped on the hood of her car Saturday when she saw someone stealing it from a gas station.
The woman, whose name was not released, left her purse and keys inside the unlocked, white Saturn when she went inside the RaceTrac at 1545 Mansell Road, Alpharetta police said.
When she came outside, she saw a man in the driver's seat attempting to leave the parking lot, police said. The woman jumped on the hood, but slid off the vehicle. She sustained minor scratches and was not seriously injured.
The vehicle was later recovered at the North Springs MARTA station on Peachtree Dunwoody Road in Sandy Springs, police said. Police have not identified a suspect.
