After being shot several times, a 56-year-old woman managed to drive nearly a mile before she collapsed at a south Fulton County gas station late Thursday.
Angela Williams, of Manchester, Ga., was shot in an industrial area and managed to drive to a Citgo station on Ga. 74 at I-85, Lt. Vernal Sutherland with Fairburn police said. There, Williams got out of her car and asked a customer pumping gas for help before she collapsed, police said.
The customer called police and Williams was transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators have not yet identified a suspect or a motive, Sutherland said. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Fairburn police at 770-964-1441.
Manchester is located about 40 miles northwest of Columbus.
