Many travelers near the Chick-fil-A on Windy Hill Road may be surprised to see the signs but no building.

The longtime restaurant’s removal has to do with “a scrape and rebuild” with plans to reopen “in a few months,” according to the location’s Facebook page, with no more meeting room once it reopens.

Continuing updates will be posted on Facebook of the reconstruction’s progress at 2661 Windy Hill Road SE, Marietta.

Message boards on the site say the restaurant will reopen in May.
