Weather forces delay in Roswell intersection project

The intersection of Houze and Hembree roads in Roswell will not be closed this weekend as previously announced, after a contractor for the Georgia Department Transportation postponed work on a planned roundabout due to a forecast of rain for Saturday and Sunday.
The closure now is scheduled for 8 p.m. March 31 to 5 a.m. Monday, Roswell officials said. Detour signage will direct motorists to Alpharetta Highway (Ga. 9), Crossville Road (Ga. 92) and Rucker Road.
Work on the $4.4 million roundabout is expected to be competed this fall.
