Advocates of a new park in north Cobb County need help collecting trash, trimming vegetation and clearing trails.

The Friends of Price Park will gather at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 15 to clean up the 126-acre tract near Kennesaw. Most of the land was donated by Leon Hall Price, the park's namesake.  It includes a flowery meadow and trails and is crossed by Allatoona Creek.

Volunteers should bring trimming tools, chainsaws or gloves to 4715 Stilesboro Rd., midway between Mars Hill and Acworth Due West roads. Information: 678-414-0430 or friendsofpricepark@gmail.com.
